PHYSIC 214: Thermodynamics

The class gives an introduction to the principles of thermodynamics, and some of their applications.  When Offered: This class is offered in the Spring semester each year. Topics Covered: Temperature, internal energy, heat, free energy, entropy, work, and the laws which relate them to each other. Applications: ideal gases, heat engines and refrigerators.
